Act of Kindness Journal

The Act of Kindness Journal appeal supports St. Anthony’s Hospice Charity Care Fund. We improve the quality of our patients’ last days by ensuring comfort and dignity. Some individuals who come to the de Greeff Hospice House or are treated in their homes can pay for part of their care, but many simply are unable to do so. For calendar year 2010, approximately $685,000 in charity care was provided to St. Anthony Hospice patients.

Acts of Kindness donors are invited to provide a message in honor or memory of a loved one that will be entered into the Acts of Kindness journal (70 character/space maximum please). In September, this journal, and the precious messages within is blessed by hospice chaplains and made available to the patients and families in the de Greeff Hospice House, the only freestanding home-away-from-home hospice house in eastern Missouri.
